The lifecycle of critical production

Between planning, construction and operation, critical gaps open up between requirement and execution — that is exactly where we come in.

Eight phases carry a plant from first understanding through to routine operation; the technology in each phase is rarely the problem.

  1. 01 · Project Understanding

Clarifying requirements and criticality: what does the plant have to do, and what is regulated?

  2. 02 · URS / Basic Design

User requirements and basic design — the basis for everything that follows.

    Break point 02 → 03

Not every URS requirement makes it into the traceability matrix.

  3. 03 · Detail Design

Detailed design with traceability: every requirement stays traceable.

    Break point 03 → 04

Design status and site execution drift apart.

  4. 04 · Construction

Construction and installation — the plant takes shape.

    Break point 04 → 05

Mechanical completion is not the same as ready for commissioning.

  5. 05 · Commissioning

FAT/SAT and start-up: the plant is brought into operation.

    Break point 05 → 06

Interfaces arrive too late for qualification. Sign-offs are blocked.

  6. 06 · DQ / IQ / OQ / PQ

Qualification — the documented evidence that everything performs to specification.

    Break point 06 → 07

Qualification runs after the fact instead of alongside — DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ delay the start.

  7. 07 · Handover

Handover and documentation: the plant passes to operations.

    Break point 07 → 08

Operations take over with gaps in knowledge and documentation.

  8. 08 · Operation

Ongoing operation: maintenance, safe isolation (LOTO), lifecycle support.

One responsibility

We close thelifecycle.

End to end across all eight phases — one responsibility instead of six handovers.

How we cover the lifecycle
Software · ecc OS

The whole plant in one system — mapped, tested, qualified.

ecc OS is our in-house software for commissioning and qualification. It maps the plant as a system — in 3D and as a flow diagram.

  • Windows · macOS · iOS · Android · browser
  • 3D plant model and flow diagram
  • Photos as evidence
  • Audit trail and e-signature
  • Our own projects run on it

Careers

Responsibility from day one. Depth over years.

If you want to drive your own projects, you will find real ownership here — and a learning curve that leads over the years into technical depth and leadership.

Development over the years
01
Joining

Your own projects from day one — alongside experienced engineers, with direct feedback instead of years spent assisting.

02
Responsibility

Your own decisions on real plants. The engineering stays at the centre.

03
Depth

Over the years, genuine specialist knowledge builds — in engineering, commissioning and qualification.

04
Leadership

Take on responsibility and you grow into it — technically and within the team. Development comes through real projects, not job titles.

Project enquiry

Planning an automation, commissioning, qualification or technical upgrade?

The earlier technical delivery, documentation and operation are planned together, the less friction the project runs into later.
